Children: | 3 Natural born sons: Kurt, 1966, Erik, 1970, Bruce, 1973. 3 Adopted sons: Adoption in 1981, all More…natural brothers - Cong, 1970, Chinh, 1971, Long, 1975. Two older Vietnamese brothers lived with us but were over 16 so we did not legally adopt them. 1 Adopted Daughter: Ngoc, 1969 - took 10 years to bring her here. She was 21 by that time. She was injured in Vietnam and suffered a traumatic brain injury. She does well but we will probably always have her with us. There are two more older brothers who were over 21 at the time we met them but they consider us parents and grandparents to their children. All the boys are married and live either in Oregon or Washington except one who lives in Florida. We have 22 grandchildren. Our sons embrace all kinds of professions. Steve died while on a bike ride from Seattle to Vancouver, BC on August 16, 2014. It was totally unexpected as he seemed to be in excellent health. His death has left a huge, sad, hole in our family. He was everything to all of us and it's been a tough year. |

Worked at the local Camas High School for 24 years in their Special Education Department. We raised a whole lot of boys and have always been active in our community! I dabble in a lot of artsy craftsy kinds of things. I have been interested in genealogy for about 10 years and have published two genealogy based books for family and a couple of libraries. I enjoy doing computer graphics.
I loved high school but wish I had talked less and studied more. Teachers moved me around the room thinking if they sat me next to the quietest kid in the class I wouldn't talk but usually I'd have that kid in trouble by the end of the period for talking.

Sheryl,
I'm sorry to hear of Don's passing. I remember him very well from high school and he was a really nice guy. I had some classes with him and he could be very funny. I wish you peace and strength as you begin life without him. Take care,

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was a joy to write to and hear from on Facebook, and a special part of my high school years. My thoughts and prayers for peace to his family.
